1. Divide off the top section of hair and comb it through. Hold in place with a clip and pin the rope in place on the crown.
2. Separate the front piece of hair into three equal strands. Begin to braid.
3. When the braid reaches the top of the rope, merge a strand of rope with each strand of braid and continue working down to the ends.
4. Secure with a covered band. Make four more small braids, equally spaced around the head and secure the ends with small coloured bands.
